The New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade Returns March 15

Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 15, because you won’t want to miss the New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade! This local parade has a long and proud history that stretches back to 1842, when the New Haven Hibernian Provident Society first started the tradition. A lot has changed since 1842, but much has remained the same, too: the parade has always invited the community to gather for a celebration of Irish heritage, music, and culture. This year the parade starts at 1:30 pm and stretches for nearly two miles as it moves down Chapel Street toward the Green and then left onto Church Street.

Want to watch but prefer to stay warm and toasty inside? Snuggle up on the couch to watch the parade from your own living room on WTNH (News 8). Pre-parade coverage starts live at 1 p.m.
