Halloween is right around the corner and there’s no better way to get in the spooky spirit than to head to one of the New Haven area’s many haunted houses, hay rides and mazes, all of which will make you pretty thrilled to head back to your 360 State apartment late at night.
If you’re ready to get scared in prep for October 31 – even if that means indulging in some red food coloring, rubber masks and ripped clothing – then don’t miss these local haunted spots when you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend.
Creeperum, located at 41R Marne St, Hamden which is about 15 minutes from your 360 State apartment, is a haunted house that is the “workshop and lab of Nikola H.P. Crowley, a writer, inventor and occultist.”
This haunt is an interactive intense walk through with claustrophobic escape rooms and an added ride that takes about 15 minutes to walk through. It definitely isn’t for the faint of heart but is worth a visit for those who love a good scare!
Trail of Terror, located at 60 N Plains Hwy, Wallingford which is about 20 minutes from your 360 State apartment, is a famous haunted attraction of the area which tickets ranging from $15 to $20.
A unique scare, the staff of the Trail of Terror is completely made up of volunteers and all of the proceeds go directly to the Wallingford Emergency Shelter. The Trail also works closely with C.R.E.W. (Community Revitalization Efforts of Wallingford) to support students who provide humanitarian aid in areas where it is most needed as well as donating to other various local charities in need.
