Where to Grab Some Authentic Mexican Cuisine for Cinco de Mayo

On their menu, don’t miss staples such as the carne asada, which is marinated and grill skirt steak served with sweet potato mash, sweet corn, black bean salsa and steak pan juice or the mole rojo, which is chicken breast with traditional chocolate red mole.

Mezcal, located at 14 Mechanic St, New Haven which is about a mile and a half from your 360 State apartment, is a down-to-earth restaurant serving Mexican classics ranging from burritos to margaritas.

Don’t miss some of their favorites such as the adobe de carne de cerdo, which is a cutlet of pork and ribs topped with their special adobe sauce and sliced raw onion served with rice, beans, guacamole and tortillas.
