Cinco de Mayo in New Haven

We may not be close to the border, but New Haven has tons of spots to celebrate for Cinco de Mayo! Below are your best bets for a fun fiesta right here in New Haven.

C.O. Jones

This Mexican Restaurant and Tequila Bar has a rustic Spanish vibe and is right up the street from us on State Street! Every week they have Happy Hour Monday – Saturday from 5-7PM but check in this Tuesday for Cinco de Mayo! We’re sure they’ll have a very extra happy hour.

Geronimo Bar and Grill

Right next door to the famed Louie’s Lunch, Gernonimo is a Southwest Grill with charming outdoor eating and the largest tequila selection on the East Coast. Enjoy your evening at this casual, Southwestern-style hang out.

Not quite Mexican, but still with that latin flare, Pacifico has Nuevo-Latino Seafood cuisine and has a bit more of a trendy vibe with it’s two-story bar. Enjoy tapas, deliciously crafted cocktails, and a fun and lively atmosphere.

Oaxaca Kitchen

Right near Geronimo, Oaxaca has the most festive vibe of all the New Haven Mexican eateries. Covered in traditional colors and motifs, head down a little brick alley into their entrance, and let the aromas of traditional Mexican spices and flavors overtake you. It can be noisy, but it’s fun, and make sure to order some of their table side guacamole!
