Best Connecticut Restaurants 2015 – New Haven

Connecticut Magazine held their annual Reader’s Choice Awards for Best Connecticut Restaurants for 2015! Lucky for our residents here at 360 State Street, there are 5 New Haven local places that made the list! Out of 35 categories, 5 of New Haven’s finest took home the top prize and 2 were runner-ups in categories. With the nice weather approaching and most walking distance from 360 State Street, these fabulous restaurants are perfect to check out in the upcoming months!

Goodfellas restaurant located at 702 State Street took home the top spot in several categories! New Haven’s Goodfellas claimed four categories Best Italian, Best Romantic, Best Outdoor Dining and Best Service! If you are looking for a trendy and wonderful spot for date night, Goodfellas is the perfect place and it seems like all of Connecticut agrees! How lucky for our 360 State Street residents that this local favorite is just down the block! Serving authentic Italian food for ten years now Goodfellas has several menus for different occasions and time of day, each with a generous amount of dishes to choose from. Mamoun’s on Howe Street was the choice for Best Middle Eastern by readers. Originally founded in New York in 1971, the New Haven location opened as their sit down restaurant. While they have a wide variety of choices, their Falafel is what has local residents flocking to eat and have a taste of their Middle Eastern Cuisine.

Readers chose Union League Café as Connecticut’s Best French restaurant. Their accomplishments include recognition from the New York Times and several travel and dine magazines. As well as private dining, private events can also be held. Their brilliant array of French food varies from the lunch and dinner menu, so you can make multiple visits at different times to really get a full taste of their delicious menu!
